307 Squadron Project - ‘Lest We Forget’

307 Squadron Project cordially invites you to Exeter’s Guildhall for the special event ‘Lest We Forget’.
It will take place between 15-16 November 2019 from 10:00-16:00.
This event commemorates the Polish 307 Squadron and also marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day, by telling the story of Poles who took part in D-Day and operation ‘Overlord’.
‘Lest We Forget’ includes:
- the story of the Polish 307 Squadron
- the History of Exeter Airport where 307 Squadron were based from 1941-1943
- ‘the Polish D-Day Story’ exhibition which shows the role of the Polish military during D-Day
- meeting with authors of the graphic novel Dog Fight: Airdogs and much more
This free event in both English and Polish, will take place at the Exeter Guildhall, from:
- Friday 15th November 10:00–16:00
- Saturday 16th November 10:00–16:00
On Friday 15 November, ‘307 Squadron Day’, at 10:00 the Polish flag will be raised over the Guildhall by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Exeter.
W imieniu 307 Squadron Project zapraszamy na wyjątkowe wydarzenie "Lest We Forget", które odbędzie się w dniach 15-16 listopada 2019 w Exeter.
Uroczystości poświęcone są pamięci polskich lotników z Dywizjonu 307.
W ramach obchodów 75. rocznicy D-Day, pragniemy również przypomnieć ważną rolę polskich sił
zbrojnych w operacji D-Day oraz kampanii w Normandii.
W programie "Lest We Forget" :
- historia polskiego Dywizjonu 307
- dzieje lotniska w Exeter (gdzie stacjonował Dywizjon 307 w latach 1941-1943)
- wystawa “The Polish D-Day Story”, upamiętniająca udział Polaków w D-Day
- spotkanie z autorami komiksu Dog Fight: Airdogs i wiele innych
Wydarzenie "Lest We Forget", odbędzie się w Exeter Guildhall. Przygotowane zostało w języku polskim i angielskim. Wstęp wolny.
